Like most Mets fans, I will be glued to my TV tonight cheering for Jake.

In my other life when I was a public relations executive for the Mets, I was fortunate to work with him when he won his Rookie of The Year Award and his first Cy Young. No one competed harder or had more of a passion to win than Jacob deGrom.

Remember his MLB debut when he dazzled the Yankees in a Subway Series game at a packed Citi Field. It’s been 13 months since Number 48 took the mound for the Mets. The wait will end tonight. It should be great.
