Another Super Bowl Win For Mahomes

For those of us who were there at the beginning when young Patrick Mahomes was running around the outfield at Shea shagging fly balls, we just stand in awe on what he has accomplished during his star-studded NFL career.

Well, last night was the topper. Down in overtime, he drove the length of the field for the winning touchdown to give the Chiefs their second straight Super Bowl, and third title in the last five years. He just willed his team to victory. On the final drive, Patrick went 8–8 and made first down after first down with his arm and his legs. The crazy thing about all this is that he’s only 28. As Johnny Franco texted me after it was all over, “Watching him on the field and in the clubhouse we knew this kid had a chance to be special, but no one knew how special.” Now we know.
