Cyclones Force Game 3
With their backs against the walls, the Cyclones defeated the Hudson Valley Renegades, 1–0 last night at MCU Park in their first round playoff game.
Nate Jones, Matthew Allan, Corey Gaconi and Nelson Leon combined for a 1-hit shutout. Jones started the game fanning three in his three innings. Allan earned the win with two perfect innings of work. The Cyclones pitching staff didn’t allow a hit until one out in the 7th inning.
The lone run of the game came off of a Jed Lowrie 4th inning home run.
The Cyclones and Renegades will have the third and final game of their playoff series tonight (pending weather) at MCU Park. All tickets for the game are only $5 and can be purchased at the MCU Park box office.
