Syracuse fell to Buffalo, 4–1.

Mark Payton recorded a multi-hit game with two doubles and a run scored while Wilfredo Tovar had a hit and RBI. Travis Blankenhorn (Mets #18 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely twice with a hit and a walk.

RHP, Vance Worley

Vance Worley made the start for Syracuse, striking out six batters over five innings. Jesús Reyes and Jake Reed combined for four scoreless innings out of the Syracuse bullpen, fanning four batters.

Syracuse will square off against Buffalo again in their season finale on Sunday October 3 at 1:05 p.m.
