SYRACUSE METS
Syracuse defeated Worcester, 4–2.
Jake Hager recorded two more hits, extending his 2021 hitting streak to eight games and raising his season average to .424. Quinn Brodey hit his first long ball of the season, a two-run shot in the third inning. Drew Jackson reached base safely three times.
Franklyn Kilomé made the start and allowed one run over four innings of work. Yennsy Díaz and Stephen Nogosek each pitched a scoreless frame in relief.
Syracuse prepares to take on Worcester again tonight at 6:35 p.m., with the Mets #10 prospect (MLB Pipeline), Thomas Szapucki making the start.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton fell to Altoona, 7–2.
Wagner Lagrange went yard, tallying his first home run of the season. Sebastian Elizalde and Luis Carpio reached base safely twice with a hit and a walk each. Ryley Gilliam (Mets #18 prospect — MLB Pipeline) tossed two scoreless innings, punching out two.
Binghamton hosts Altoona again tonight at 6:35 p.m. Sam Tewes is expected to make his second start of the season for the RumblePonies.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones won last night over Greenville, 3–2.
Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 prospect — MLB Pipeline) had a hit and RBI, his eighth RBI in the last four games. Brett Baty (Mets #4 prospect — MLB Pipleine) reached base twice with a hit and walk, extending his hitting streak to four games. Antoine Duplantis and Matt Winaker would each record multi hit games.
Mets #17 prospect (MLB Pipeline) Jose Butto made the start for Brooklyn, going four innings and allowing just one run while fanning six batters. Mitch Ragan pitched a six-out save to secure the win for Brooklyn.
The Cyclones continue their road series with Greenville tonight at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets were trailing Daytona 2–0 in the bottom of the third inning before the game was suspended due to weather.
St. Lucie will resume their suspended game today before squaring off against Daytona in the regularly scheduled matchup at 7:05 p.m. The Mets will send their #11 rank prospect (MLB Pipeline) Junior Santos to the mound tonight, following the continuation and completion of yesterday’s game.
