SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets fell to Lehigh Valley, 16–1.
Drew Ferguson recorded a three hit game, scoring a run. Outfielder, Quinn Brodey reached base safely twice with a hit, walk and run driven in. J.D. Davis made the start at third base as part of his rehab assignment and recorded a base hit.
Syracuse takes on Lehigh Valley at home again tonight at 6:35 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton lost to Erie, 5–4.
Mets #8 prospect, Mark Vientos (MLB Pipeline) tallied a pair of doubles and an RBI. Yoel Romero reached base safely four times for the RumblePonies, recording three hits and a walk, raising his season average to .448. Romero also scored a run and drove one in.
Tony Dibrell made the start, allowing one run over four innings of work.
Binghamton will send right hander Dylan Hall to the mound as they continue their series with Erie. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn routed Hudson Valley in a 14–0 win.
Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) had a huge four hit game for the Cyclones, scoring two runs and driving in four. First baseman Joe Genord would collect three hits of his own including a triple, scoring three times. Outfielder Jake Mangum would go 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Mets #2 prospect Ronny Mauricio (MLB Pipeline) would also double in the win.
Oscar Rojas made the start for Brooklyn, tossing four shutout innings. Allan Winans, Brian Metoyer and Bryce Montes de Oca would combine for five scoreless innings out of the bullpen, completing the shutout.
The Cyclones get set to take on Hudson Valley again tonight at 6:30 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
St. Lucie defeated Palm Beach in a slugfest, 11–8.
Mets #12 prospect Jaylen Palmer (MLB Pipeline) scored three runs for St. Lucie as he reached base safely three times with two walks and a base hit. Zach Ashford had a multi-hit game, as he doubled, drove in one and scored twice. Shervyen Newton (Mets #15 prospect — MLB Pipeline) also doubled in the win. First baseman Warren Saunders would record a double and three RBI.
Noah Syndergaard got the start for St. Lucie as he began his rehab assignment. The Mets right-hander would toss four scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out five.
St. Lucie squares off with Palm Beach again tonight at 6:30 p.m. Justin Lasko gets the nod for the Mets.
