SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets saw a 1–0 shutout win over Rochester in their series finale.
Catcher Nick Meyer recorded a three-hit game including a double and RBI. Sebastian Elizalde reached base safely twice stealing a base and scoring a run.
Jerad Eickhoff got the win for Syracuse, tossing six scoreless innings and only allowing three hits while fanning seven. Corey Oswalt earned the save, throwing three shutout frames and striking out 5.
Syracuse will have a regularly scheduled day off before returning to action on Tuesday 6/1.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton’s matchup with Akron was postponed due to weather and will be made up at a later date.
The RumblePonies will enjoy a day off today before taking on New Hampshire on Tuesday 6/1.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones’ series finale with Aberdeen was postponed due to rain. A makeup date has yet to be announced.
Brooklyn will open a series at Jersey Shore on Tuesday 6/1.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets routed Daytona in a 15–3 win.
Brandon McIlwain went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, three runs scored and two walks. Mets #15 ranked prospect Shervyen Newton (MLB Pipeline) also homered in the win as part of a three RBI day. Mets #12 ranked prospect Jaylen Palmer and Ranfy Adon each reached base safely four times.
Mets #11 ranked prospect Junior Santos made the start for St. Lucie, fanning four over three innings of work. Jeffrey Colon, Luis Montas, Sammy Tavarez and Matt Cleveland combined for five scoreless innings in relief out of the bullpen.
St. Lucie returns to play on Tuesday 6/1, opening a road series with Fort Myers.
