SYRACUSE METS
Syracuse lost to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last night 7–3.
Martin Červenka recorded a two-run home run for his second long ball on the season. Wilfredo Tovar tallied a hit and RBI. Thomas Szapucki tossed 3.2 scoreless innings in relief.
The Mets continue their home series with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tonight at 6:35 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton RumblePonies lost to Akron yesterday, 8–3.
Will Toffey reached base safely twice with a hit and walk, he also recorded a run scored and RBI. Catcher, Nick Meyer collected two hits on the night to go along with a base on balls. Andrew Mitchell and Cole Gordon combined for 3.2 innings of scoreless relief.
Binghamton squares off against Akron again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn fell to Asheville yesterday, 13–7.
The Cyclones tallied a total of 10 hits. Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 prospect, MLB Pipeline) shined at the plate, collecting three hits, including two doubles and a home run. He also drove in four and scored twice. Brett Baty (Mets #4 prospect, MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times, with two hits, a walk, and two RBI.
The Brooklyn Cyclones continue their series on the road, playing Asheville again tonight at 6:05 p.m. Alec Kisena takes the mound for Brooklyn.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets defeated Jupiter yesterday, 7–4.
Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 prospect, MLB Pipeline) went deep in the first inning for his first home run on the season. Branden Fryman also added a homer of his own in the 5th inning. Warren Saunders, Zach Ashford, Jose Colina and LT Struble all recorded multi-hit games for St. Lucie.
Reyson Santos recorded the save, pitching a perfect ninth and striking out one.
Dylan Hall takes the hill for St. Lucie, as the home series with Jupiter continues tonight at 6:10 p.m.
