SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets fell to Worcester yesterday, 5–2.
Luis Guillorme recorded a multi-hit game as he made another rehab start for the Syracuse Mets. Outfielder Drew Ferguson roped a solo home run, while Khalil Lee (Mets #7 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) doubled and drove in a run.
Bradley Roney tossed three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out three.
Syracuse takes on Worcester again tonight at 6:35 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies were defeated by Bowie, 7–4.
Binghamton clubbed three home runs in the game — A solo shot from Yoel Romero, a two-run homer from Mark Vientos (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) and a solo homer from Carlos Cortes (Mets #17 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline). Carlos Cortes has a slash line of .389 AVG // .425 OBP // .778 SLG over the last 10 games. Quinn Brodey recorded a multi-hit game while Nick Meyer reached base safely three times.
Thomas McIlraith fanned five batters over 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.
The RumblePonies will square off with Bowie again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn lost a 1–0 pitcher’s duel with Hudson Valley.
Cody Bohanek and LT Struble recorded base hits for Brooklyn.
Cam Opp made the start for the Cyclones, allowing one unearned run in six innings of work while striking out four. Allan Winans and Michel Otanez combined for three scoreless innings in relief.
Brooklyn hosts Hudson Valley again tonight at 7:00 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets lost to Palm Beach, 14–8 despite recording 11 team hits.
Nic Gaddis led the way offensively, going 2-for-3 with a triple, run scored and three RBI. Shervyen Newton (Mets #14 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times, scoring twice. Outfielder Joe Suozzi tallied a multi-hit game including a double.
Brendan Hardy struck out seven batters in just four shutout innings out of the bullpen.
St. Lucie will send Junior Santos (Mets #11 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) to the mound to make the start against Palm Beach. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m.
