Farm Report Recap: 6/15
SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets fell to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 12–6.
Travis Blankenhorn launched a three-run homer in the first inning and drove in four on the night. Jeff McNeil continues his rehab assignment as he recorded a hit and run scored for Syracuse. Albert Almora Jr. also continued his rehab stint with Syracuse, collecting a hit of his own. Sebastian Elizalde reached base safely three times.
Syracuse squares off against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies lost to Portland, 9–4.
Mark Vientos (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times for Binghamton with two hits, a walk and RBI. Quinn Brodey also had two hits on the night to go along with a walk, RBI, run scored and stolen base. Luis Carpio and Hayden Senger also tallied multi-hit games for the RumblePonies.
Binghamton will take on Portland again tonight at 6:35 p.m. Right-hander Adam Oller will make the start for the RumblePonies.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones saw a 3–1 win over Wilmington.
Cody Bohanek recorded a three-hit game that included a double, triple, two runs scored and one RBI. Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) and Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) each had an RBI on the night as well.
Justin Lasko looked good as he made the start for Brooklyn, tossing six innings and allowing just one earned run. Brian Metoyer and Andrew Edwards combined for three shutout innings out of the bullpen to secure the win for Lasko and Brooklyn.
Brooklyn and Wilmington will continue their series tonight at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
St. Lucie was defeated by Jupiter last night, 6–5.
Branden Fryman, Joe Suozzi and Matt O’Neill each had a multi-hit game for St. Lucie while Jose Peroza reached base safely three times. Alex Ramirez (Mets #9 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a hit, walk, RBI, and run scored.
J.T. Ginn (Mets #6 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made the start for St. Lucie, throwing four scoreless innings and fanning five. His Low-A Southeast ERA is now at 0.82.
St. Lucie takes on Jupiter again today at 12:00 p.m. Luis Moreno will take the mound.
