Farm Report Recap: 6/17
SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets lost to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 4–2.
Cheslor Cuthbert launched a two-run homer in the 4th inning while Travis Blankenhorn stayed hot, tallying a multi-hit game and a double. Jeff McNeil continued his rehab assignment with Syracuse, recording a base hit. Albert Almora Jr. also continues to rehab in Syracuse as he had two hits last night and a stolen base.
Tom Windle tossed two scoreless innings out of the bullpen for Syracuse and lowered his season ERA to 2.89.
Syracuse will take on Scranton/Wilkes-Barre again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies were defeated by Portland, 4–1.
Hayden Senger and Yoel Romero recorded multi-hit games while outfielder Quinn Brodey collected an RBI.
Cole Gordon made the start for Binghamton, throwing six innings of one-run ball.
Binghamton will send right-hander Oscar de la Cruz to the mound as they match up with Portland again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones saw an 8–4 loss to Wilmington.
Blake Tiberi went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) collected a three-hit game on the night that included a triple. Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) tallied a pair of doubles.
Brooklyn will continue its series with Wilmington tonight at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets got a win last night, defeating Jupiter 7–3.
Jaylen Palmer (Mets #12 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times and scored a run. Matt O’Neill would score three runs of his own in the contest. Jose Peroza doubled and collected a pair of RBIs.
Junior Santos (Mets #11 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made a solid start on the mound for St. Lucie, earning the win — 6 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 3 K.
Oscar Rojas and his 1.20 Low-A Southeast ERA will take the mound for St. Lucie as they square off with Jupiter again. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
