SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets were defeated by Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 7–5.
Jeff McNeil continued his rehab assignment with Syracuse, going 2-for-3 with a double, walk and solo home run. Travis Blankenhorn stayed hot, launching a grand slam in the 5th inning. His Syracuse OPS is now 1.169.
Tylor Megill (Mets #21 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made the start, tossing five innings and allowing three runs while striking out six.
Syracuse will square off again with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre again tonight at 6:05 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies fell to Portland, 4–1.
Will Toffey belted a third inning solo home run for Binghamton while Carlos Cortes (Mets #17 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) and Manny Rodriguez recorded base hits.
Oscar De La Cruz went 6.2 innings in the start, allowing two earned runs and fanning five.
The RumblePonies will send right-hander Luc Rennie to the mound as their series with Portland continues. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones scored five runs in the ninth inning to get the win last night, defeating Wilmington 7–5.
Luke Ritter, Antoine Duplantis and Blake Tiberi each tallied a long ball and combined for four RBI. Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) doubled in the win.
Allan Winans and Mitch Ragan combined for 4.2 scoreless innings in relief while punching out four and securing the win.
Brooklyn continues their road series with Wilmington tonight at 6:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets lost to Jupiter yesterday, 7–6.
Branden Fryman reached base safely three times with two hits and a walk while Brandon McIlwain doubled and scored a run. Jaylen Palmer (Mets #12 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a triple, RBI, run scored and walk in the contest.
Oscar Rojas continues to pitch well for St. Lucie after making the start last night — 5.2 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K. Rojas’ St. Lucie ERA is down to 1.31.
Franklin Parra will toe the rubber for St. Lucie and make the start as they take on Jupiter at 6:30 p.m.
