SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets saw their matchup with Buffalo in Trenton get postponed due to inclement weather.
The game will be made up today (June 4) as part of a doubleheader. Game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Game two will follow the completion of game one.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies defeated New Hampshire, 9–3.
Mets #19 ranked prospect Carlos Cortes (MLB Pipeline) had a huge night at the dish, going 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI and two runs scored. Will Toffey and Desmond Lindsay also added home runs of their own in the win. Catcher Hayden Senger recorded a multi-hit game for Binghamton.
Josh Walker made the start for the RumblePonies and earned the win after tossing five innings and allowing three runs while striking out six. Josh Hejka and Ryley Gilliam combined for four shutout innings out of the bullpen.
Binghamton will take on New Hampshire tonight at 6:35 p.m. The RumblePonies will send right-hander Adam Oller to the mound to make the start.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn’s game was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to rain. The Cyclones were trailing 3–1 at the time of the game being called.
Brett Baty homered in the third inning and also doubled prior to the suspension.
The Cyclones plan to continue the suspended game today (June 4) before playing their regularly scheduled game with Jersey Shore at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets fell to Fort Myers, 7–0.
Mets #12 ranked prospect Jaylen Palmer (MLB Pipeline), #15 ranked prospect Shervyen Newton, Brandon McIlwain and Matt O’Neill each recorded a base hit in the game.
The Mets #6 ranked prospect J.T. Ginn made his professional debut, tossing three shutout innings in the start.
The St. Lucie Mets will square off with Fort Myers again tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
