SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets played a doubleheader with Rochester.
In a 4–1 game one loss, Wilfredo Tovar recorded a multi-hit game, walked and drove in a run. Brandon Drury reached base safely twice for Syracuse. Yennsy Díaz and Bradley Roney pitched two scoreless innngs out of the bullpen.
In game two (a makeup from a June 30 postponement), Syracuse collected 12 team hits to defeat Rochester, 6–5 in walk-off fashion.
Mason Williams had a three hit day and drove in two while Khalil Lee (Mets #7 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded two hits including a triple and two runs scored. César Puello played hero with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth inning. Jonathan Villar began rehabbing with Syracuse, walking and scoring a run. Stephen Nogosek and Marcel Rentería had scoreless outings in relief for Syracuse.
Syracuse will continue their home series with Rochester today at 6:35 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton saw their matchup with Richmond get postponed due to rain.
Binghamton will play a doubleheader today (July 2) to make up for the postponement. Game one will begin at 4:35 p.m. with game two getting underway following the completion of game one.
Brooklyn fell to Aberdeen, 2–0.
Antoine Duplantis recorded a multi-hit game while Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) and Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) collected a hit each on the night.
Cam Opp made the start for Brooklyn, fanning seven over five innings of work, allowing one earned run.
Brooklyn takes on Aberdeen again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets played a doubleheader with Clearwater yesterday.
In a 5–3 game one loss, Alex Ramirez (Mets #9 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) continued to swing a hot bat, doubling and driving in a run. Brandon McIlwain recorded a multi-hit game while Cole Kleszcz tallied a hit and RBI.
In game two (a makeup from a June 29 postponement), St. Lucie fell, 4–2. Nic Gaddis launched a solo home run as part of a multi-hit night. Jose Peroza also drove in a run for St. Lucie. Oscar Rojas made the start for St. Lucie, punching out seven batters in 5.1 innings of work.
St. Lucie will send Franklin Parra to the mound as their series with Clearwater continues today at 6:30 p.m.
