Farm Report Recap: 7/30
SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets blanked Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 6–0.
Travis Blankenhorn (Mets #21 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a multi-hit game including a solo home run and two RBI. Khalil Lee (Mets #6 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times and scored a run while Wilfredo Tovar scored twice. Albert Almora Jr., Patrick Mazeika and Cheslor Cuthbert each recorded an RBI.
Jesús Reyes pitched six shutout innings in the start, allowing four hits and striking out three. Yeizo Campos and Franklyn Kilomé each had a scoreless outing in relief to complete the shutout.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton rallied to score three runs in the top of the ninth inning, defeating Hartford, 3–1.
Carlos Rincon went 2-for-4 with a double and run scored while Luis Carpio recorded a clutch ninth inning RBI. Jake Mangum (Mets #30 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) collected a hit and run scored.
Adam Oller struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings of work, allowing just one run on four hits. Andrew Edwards tossed 2.1 scoreless innings and has yet to allow an earned run since joining Binghamton. Allan Winans recorded the save.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones split a doubleheader with Jersey Shore, taking game one by a score of 4–0 and dropping game two, 3–0.
In game one, Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) launched his 14th home run on the season as part of a multi-hit game. Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) went 2-for-4 with a double and run scored. Zach Ashford and LT Struble each reached base safely twice for the Cyclones.
Justin Lasko continued to pitch well, tossing 5.2 shutout innings and fanning seven batters in the game one start. He has a 1.50 ERA in the month of July. Bryce Montes de Oca tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and fanned three batters to record the save and complete the shutout win.
In a game two (makeup from July 29 rainout), Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) and Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely with a hit. Antoine Duplantis and Luis Gonzalez each recorded a hit as well.
J.T. Ginn (Mets #5 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made the start for the Cyclones, allowing two earned runs over five innings of work and striking out five.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets fell to Daytona yesterday, 8–2.
Jose Peroza recorded a double and home run in the game, while Warren Saunders collected a hit and run scored.
Franklin Parra allowed three earned runs over four innings in the start. Sammy Tavarez pitched two scoreless innings in relief, punching out three batters.
