SYRACUSE METS
Syracuse fell to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 3–1.
Albert Almora Jr. recorded a three-hit game and drove in a run. Chelsor Cuthbert and Orlando Calixte each had a multi-hit game as well. Drew Jackson scored a run for Syracuse.
Josh Walker made his second start with Syracuse, taking a no-hitter into the eighth inning. His final line: 8.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 6 K.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies saw a 6–5 loss to Hartford.
Mark Vientos launched two home runs in the contest, making it an even 20 long balls on the season — good enough to lead the Double-A Northeast. Carlos Rincon had a multi-hit game with a home run while Nick Meyer launched his second home run in as many days. Wagner Lagrange hit safely three times for Binghamton.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn’s matchup with Jersey Shore was postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 30.
ST. LUCIE METS
St. Lucie split a doubleheader against Daytona, dropping the first game 4–3 and bouncing back to take the second, 4–1.
In game one, Jaylen Palmer (Mets #12 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) launched a two-run homer in the third inning. Quinn Brodey reached base safely twice while Branden Fryman drove in a run.
Junior Santos (Mets #11 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made the start for St. Lucie, striking out five batters over four innings of work, allowing one run.
In game two, Alex Ramirez (Mets #9 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a double, walk and RBI while catcher Jose Colina recorded a multi-hit game, scoring twice and driving in a run.
Oscar Rojas got the win for the Mets, allowing one earned run over five innings and punching out seven.
