Farm Report Recap: 7/4
SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets defeated Rochester, 4–2.
J.D. Davis made the start at third base for the Mets, recording a double and RBI. Wilfredo Tovar collected two hits and scored two runs. Brandon Drury went 3-for-4 with a run scored and RBI.
Vance Worley pitched eight strong innings, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out four. Stephen Nogosek recorded the save for Syracuse.
The Syracuse Mets will enjoy a regularly scheduled day off before returning to action on July 6.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton fell to Richmond, 12–5.
Mark Vientos (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) had a three hit night including a double and home run to go along with four RBI. He now has 13 home runs on the season, leading the RumblePonies. Nick Meyer reached base safely three times with two hits and a walk.
The RumblePonies are off on Monday before returning home to open a series on Tuesday (July 6).
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones saw a 7–2 loss to Aberdeen. Luke Ritter launched his tenth homer of the season as part of a two hit, two runs scored night. Luis Gonzalez and Zach Ashford also recorded hits for Brooklyn while Joe Genord drove in a run.
Brooklyn will go on the road to open a series with Jersey Shore on Tuesday (July 6).
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets were defeated by Clearwater, 3–2.
Jaylen Palmer (Mets #12 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a triple and RBI while Brandon McIlwain also tallied an RBI. Joe Suozzi reached base safely twice.
David Griffin made the start for St. Lucie, allowing just one run over six innings and striking out eight batters.
Like the rest of the farm, St. Lucie is off today before returning to action on Tuesday (July 6).
