SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets fell to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 8–3.
Wilfredo Tovar and Cheslor Cuthbert recorded a solo home run each. J.D. Davis continues to rehab with Syracuse, walking three times in yesterday’s contest. Khalil Lee (Mets #7 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely twice with a double and walk.
Thomas Szapucki (Mets #10 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made the start for Syracuse, tossing four innings without allowing an earned run.
The Syracuse Mets will play Scranton/Wilkes Barre in a doubleheader today, with the first game beginning at 5:05 p.m. Game two (a makeup from a June 19 postponement) will begin following the completion of game one.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton saw a 3–2 win over New Hampshire.
Jake Mangum (Mets #30 prospect — MLB Pipeline) went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored. Nick Meyer would also add a hit and RBI in the win.
Dustin Beggs made the start for Binghamton, going 4.1 innings and allowing one earned run. Ryley Gilliam got the save, striking out three batters over two scoreless innings to end it.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn was defeated by Hudson Valley, 9–7.
The Cyclones would tally three homers in the game: Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB pipeline) with a fourth inning solo shot, Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) with a sixth inning solo shot and Luke Ritter with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Antoine Duplantis would record a three-hit game.
Brooklyn will square off with Hudson Valley again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
St. Lucie saw an 8–6 win over Fort Myers.
Jaylen Palmer (Mets #12 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Cole Kleszcz reached base safely three times with an RBI and run scored. Jose Peroza had a multi-hit, multi-RBI game for St. Lucie while Brandon McIlwain also had two RBI.
Luis Montas threw one scoreless inning to record the save and lower his St. Lucie ERA to 1.08.
St. Lucie will host Fort Myers today at 12:10 p.m. They are expected to send Junior Santos (Mets #11 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) to the mound.
