Farm Report Recap: 7/7
SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets played a doubleheader with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, losing game one by a score of 3–2.
Brandon Drury launched a solo home run in the fifth inning while Chance Sisco would add another solo homer in the sixth inning.
Jesús Reyes allowed three earned runs over 4.2 innings of work. Tom Windle would pitch 1.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Syracuse would defeat Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in game two, 5–0.
Patrick Mazeika recorded a three-hit game with an RBI while Cameron Maybin reached base safely three times and drove in two. Khalil Lee (Mets #7 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) scored three runs and also tallied an RBI in the win.
Jerad Eickhoff made the start, tossing two scoreless innings before Anthony Banda and Bradley Roney combined for 3.2 scoreless innings to complete the shutout.
Syracuse will continue its series with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as they play tonight at 7:05 p.m.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton defeated New Hampshire, 5–3.
Luis Carpio smacked a two-run homer in the third inning while Jake Mangum (Mets #30 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a multi-hit game and scored twice while Carlos Cortes (Mets #17 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) also had two hits on the night to go along with two RBI.
Adam Oller started the game for Binghamton, tossing 5.1 innings and allowing just two earned runs while striking out six. Allan Winans and Tom Hackimer combined for 3.2 scoreless innings in relief.
Binghamton will send lefty, Josh Walker to the mound as they square off with New Hampshire again tonight at 6:35 p.m.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
The Brooklyn Cyclones fell to Hudson Valley, 3–2.
Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) provided a first inning solo home run to give Brooklyn the early lead — his ninth on the season. Antoine Duplantis recorded a hit and RBI.
Jose Butto (Mets #15 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) allowed two earned runs over five innings and struck out six.
Brooklyn will play Hudson Valley again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
ST. LUCIE METS
St. Lucie saw a 6–2 win over Fort Myers.
Johneshwy Fargas made a rehab appearance with St. Lucie, clubbing a solo home run. Matt Dyer and Joe Suozzi would also record homers for St. Lucie in the win. Alex Ramirez (Mets #9 prospect — MLB Pipeline) collected an RBI and walk.
Junior Santos (Mets #11 ranked prospect) went six innings, allowing two runs.
Reigning Low-A Southeast pitcher of the month, Oscar Rojas will get the ball for St. Lucie tonight against Fort Myers. First pitch is at 6:10 p.m.
