SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets saw their matchup in Worcester get postponed due to weather.
The team is scheduled to play a doubleheader against Worcester today (8/13).
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies routed Hartford, 10–1.
Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) had a huge game for Binghamton after going 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double, two runs scored and four RBI. Catcher David Rodríguez recorded a three hit game with a home run, two runs and two RBI. Luis Carpio and Matt Winaker each homered as well in the win. Jake Mangum (Mets #27 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) had four hits on the night.
Justin Lasko made his Double-A debut, starting for the RumblePonies and tossing six shutout innings while only allowing three hits and striking out three, getting the win.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn was defeated by Wilmington, 5–4.
Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) launched his fourteenth Cyclones home run on the season in the fifth inning. He has homered in back-to-back games. Jaylen Palmer (Mets #11 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) doubled twice and drove in two while Antoine Duplantis reached base safely twice and scored a run.
J.T. Ginn (Mets #5 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) got the start for Brooklyn, striking out three batters over five innings of work.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets swept a doubleheader from Dunedin.
In a 4–1 game one win, David Thompson led the game offensively, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored. Alex Ramirez (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely twice and drove in a run while José Martínez had a hit, walk and run scored as part of his rehab assignement.
Junior Santos (Mets #10 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded the win, allowing just one run over seven innings with six strikeouts.
Game two (makeup from August 11 rain out) would end in an 4–0 St. Lucie win. Mets 2021 draft pick, Rowdey Jordan collected three hits including a double, run scored and RBI. Brandon McIlwain drove in two runs while Alex Ramirez tallied a multi-hit game.
Luis Moreno got the win, allowing just one hit over five shutout innings with six strikeouts.
