SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets defeated Worcester, 5–4.
Patrick Mazeika launched a three run homer in the first inning to give Syracuse the early lead. Wagner Lagrange had a multi-hit game and is hitting .455 since being promoted to Syracuse. Mark Payton reached base safely twice with a run scored and RBI.
Adam Oller made his Syracuse Mets debut, tossing 6.2 innings and allowing just two hits and no earned runs while striking out 13 batters.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton defeated Hartford, 4–1.
Carlos Rincon went 2-for-2 with a walk, home run, two runs scored and RBI. Jake Mangum (Mets #27 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded another multi-hit game and is hitting .490 in the month of August. Edgardo Fermin drove in two runs in the win.
Jose Butto (Mets #14 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) pitched extremely well in the start, recording the win. Butto’s final line: 6.0 IP | 2 H | 0 ER | 8 K
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn fell to Wilmington, 1–0.
Jaylen Palmer (Mets #11 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a base hit while Jeremy Vasquez doubled in the matchup.
Luc Rennie made the start for Brooklyn, throwing 5.2 innings and allowing one earned run while fanning four baters.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets dropped both games of a doubleheader against Dunedin.
St. Lucie would lose game one, 5–2. Matt O’Neill cranked a solo home run in the third inning while Alex Ramirez (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) doubled and drove in a run.
Jose Chacin fanned five batters over 5.1 innings of work in his start.
St. Lucie was defeated in game two, 5–3.
Kevin Kendall collected three hits and drove in a run for St. Lucie as Alex Ramirez launched a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Warren Saunders reached base safely twice.
