SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets swept a doubleheader from Buffalo, taking game one, 4–3 and winning game two, 2–1.
In game one, Cody Bohanek recorded a hit, run scored and RBI. Albert Almora Jr. recorded a multi-hit game while Khalil Lee (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) had a base hit and scored a run.
Vance Worley got the win in his start for Syracuse as he allowed one earned run over five innings.
In game two — a makeup from an August 18 postponement — Mason Williams tallied two doubles and scored a run while Josh Reddick had a base hit and drove in a run.
Zack Godley pitched well in his start, getting the win as he scattered three hits and allowed one earned run, striking out four over six innings of work.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton’s matchup with Portland was postponed due to rain.
The team will play a doubleheader on August 21 to make up for the postponement.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn fell to Hudson Valley, 7–6.
Ronny Mauricio (Mets #3 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) launched his 16th home run on the season, a two-run shot in the sixth inning. Jose Peroza went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and two runs scored
Luke Ritter (Mets #29 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a multi-hit game with a double, two RBI and run scored. Jaylen Palmer (Mets #15 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base twice with a walk, triple and scored a run.
J.T. Ginn (Mets #5 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) allowed three earned runs over six innings while fanning three batters in the start.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets saw an 8–7 win over Tampa.
JT Schwartz (Mets #17 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base three times with two hits, a walk, a run scored and run driven in. Brandon McIlwain also recorded a multi-hit game and scored a run while Rowdey Jordan had a hit, two walks and two runs scored.
