The Syracuse Mets fell to Rochester, 3–1.

Mark Payton reached base safely twice for Syracuse with a hit and a walk, while Wilfredo Tovar recorded a hit and run scored.

RHP, Vance Worley

Vance Worley made the start for Syracuse, tossing seven innings and allowing just two earned runs.

Binghamton blanked Portland in a 9–0 win.

OF, Carlos Cortes

Carlos Cortes (Mets #16 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) went 3-for-5 with a double, run scored and three RBI. Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely twice, scoring two runs. Jake Mangum (Mets #30 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored.

In his third start with Binghamton, Jose Butto (Mets #14 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) tossed six shutout innings, scattering five hits and striking out four in the win. Allan Winans and Eric Orze combined for three scoreless innings in relief to complete the shutout.

BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn fell to Hudson Valley, 5–0.

Edgardo Fermin reached base safely twice for the Cyclones with a hit and a walk. Zach Ashford walked and stole a base in the contest.

RHP, Jaison Vilera

Jaison Vilera went 5.2 innings in the start, allowing one earned run and striking out six batters.

ST. LUCIE METS
St. Lucie’s matchup with Palm Beach was postponed due to weather. The team will play a makeup game on August 5 as part of a doubleheader.
