SYRACUSE METS
Syracuse got an extra innings win last night, defeated Rochester 2–1.
Mark Payton reached base four times with three hits and a walk while Wilfredo Tovar and Martin Červenka recorded an RBI each.
Josh Walker (Mets #22 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) had another great outing at the Triple-A level — 7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 5 K). Roel Ramírez recorded the save for Syracuse.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
The Binghamton RumblePonies saw an 8–0 shutout win over Portland.
Jake Mangum (Mets #29 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) finished the game a home run shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI and four runs scored. Carlos Rincon reached base safely twice and drove in two runs in the win. Nick Meyer and Brett Baty (Mets #4 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) collected an RBI each.
Cole Gordon was light out in the start, allowing just one hit over seven shutout innings and punching out ten.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn defeated Hudson Valley, 9–6.
Ronny Mauricio (Mets #2 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) recorded a multi-hit game including a two-run homer. Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) hit a double, scored a run and drove one in while Antoine Duplantis also doubled and tallied three RBI.
Willy Taveras got the save after punching out four over two scoreless innings for the Cyclones, lowering his ERA to 3.24.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets were scheduled to play a doubleheader against Palm Beach today.
Game one was suspended in the bottom of the first inning with St. Lucie leading 4–0.
Alex Ramirez (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) launched a two-run homer while. Mets 2021 draft picks Rowdey Jordan and Kevin Kendall each recorded their first professional hit in their debut with St. Lucie.
Game two was postponed due to weather.
