SYRACUSE METS
Syracuse defeated Rochester, 2–1.
Travis Blankenhorn (Mets #20 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times with two hits and a walk. Patrick Mazeika (Mets #28 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) and Mark Payton each drove in a run for Syracuse.
Zack Godley made his debut in the Mets organization, tossing 3.1 innings allowing one earned run and striking out four. Akeem Bostick, Tom Hackimer and Bradley Roney combined for 5.2 shutout innings in releif.
BINGHAMTON RUMBLEPONIES
Binghamton saw a 9–5 loss to Portland.
Edgardo Fermin went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and two runs scored in after recently being promoted to Binghamton. Jake Mangum (Mets #27 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) extended his hitting streak to 11 games after collecting a multi-hit game last night. Matt Winaker recorded two RBI in the contest.
Oscar de la Cruz (Mets #22 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) made the start for the Rumble Ponies, allowing two earned runs over six innings of work, punching out four.
BROOKLYN CYCLONES
Brooklyn saw a 5–4 win over Hudson Valley.
Francisco Álvarez (Mets #1 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) finished a single short of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, home run and two runs scored. Jeremy Vasquez reached base safely three times for the Cyclones, scoring twice and driving in two. Antoine Duplantis and Zach Ashford also collected an RBI each in the win.
Alec Kisena fanned eight batters in just five innings while allowing two earned runs in the start.
ST. LUCIE METS
The St. Lucie Mets swept a doubleheader against Palm Beach.
St. Lucie notched a 13–6 win in completion from a suspended game on August 6. Alex Ramirez (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) launched a two-run homer while. Mets 2021 draft picks Rowdey Jordan and Kevin Kendall each recorded their first professional hit in their debut with St. Lucie. Omar De Los Santos scored three runs while Branden Fryman recorded a three hit game, driving in four.
St. Lucie would shut out Palm Beach in game two, 12–0.
Rowdey Jordan reached base safely three times and scored twice out of the leadoff spot for St. Lucie while Warren Saunders recorded two RBI and scored a run. Jimmy Titus went 3-for-4 with a double, home run, three runs scored and four runs driven in. Brandon McIlwain and Jose Colina each tallied a multi-hit game with an RBI as well.
David Griffin lowered his season ERA to 3.05 after a scoreless start — 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 8 K.
