SYRACUSE METS
Syracuse’s matchup with Scranton-Wilkes/Barre was suspended in the top of the fifth inning due to outages with the lights at the stadium.
Syracuse trails 4–2, with RBIs from Brandon Drury and Drew Jackson. Wilfredo Tovar has recorded a multi-hit game while Chance Sisco and Albert Almora Jr. have scored one run each.
Noah Syndergaard made a rehab start for Syracuse, tossing one perfect inning. Robert Gsellman also made an appearance as part of his rehab assignment, allowing one run over 1.2 innings pitched and striking out two.
Syracuse will resume the suspended game today prior to squaring off with Scranton-Wilkes Barre at 6:35 p.m. as part of their regularly scheduled game.
