SYRACUSE METS
The Syracuse Mets squared off with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a doubleheader.
Syracuse fell in game one, 4–0.
Brandon Drury, Cheslor Cuthbert, Drew Jackson and David Rodríguez each recorded a base hit in the contest.
Noah Syndergaard made another start as part of his rehab assignment, tossing one inning while allowing one hit and striking out two batters. Robert Gsellman also made an appearance, pitching one inning.
Syracuse would take game two (makeup from September 23 rain out), 6–3.
Drew Jackson homered for Syracuse, while driving in two runs and scoring twice. He also stole a base in the win. Khalil Lee (Mets #8 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) reached base safely three times with two walks and a hit, while Mason Williams recorded a multi-hit game, driving in two.
Travis Blankenhorn (Mets #18 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) also had a multi-hit game with two runs scored and one RBI.
Vance Worley made the start, allowing two earned runs over four innings. Eric Orze (Mets #25 ranked prospect — MLB Pipeline) got the win in relief, striking out four batters over two innings pitched.
