Fonzie Gets His Mets HOF Due

No one is more selfless than Fonzie. He changed positions twice to help his team and never made a deal about it.
When he had big days with the bat, take August, 30, 1999 for example, he went 6-for-6 with three homers and six runs scored in the Astrodome but didn’t realize what he had accomplished until Bobby Valentine told him after the game.
It’s because of that faceless attitude that I really hope Edgardo Alfonzo gets a huge hand Saturday night at Citi Field when he gets inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame with Ron Darling and Jon Matlack.
No one deserves it more.
