OTD: The Mets Add Johan Santana

I have a feeling Mr. Santana soon will have company.

Fourteen years ago today we acquired Yo from the Minnesota Twins and on June 1, 2012 he pitched the first and still only no-hitter in our history.

I think someone will join him soon. I hope that exclusive club could get a member as soon as this season.

It is shocking to me, that with all the great pitchers we have had, Seaver, Koosman, Gooden, Fernandez, Cone, Darling, Leiter, and many more that we still only have one, no-no.

My gut tells me that will change in 2022.
