This Year’s NY State Baseball Hall of Fame Will Feature ’69 Mets

The ceremony will have a distinct 1969 Mets flavor when Gil Hodges and Jerry Koosman will be inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame on August 15 in Troy, NY.
Gil and Jerry were both picked last year but the enshrinement was postponed because of COVID. Hodges managed the Mets to 100 win in 1969 and World Series title over the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles.
Koosman captured two games against Baltimore, including the series clincher. Hoping that Gil gets into another Hall of Fame this December when he is eligible to be voted into Cooperstown.
