Wishing Howie Rose The Best

I am supposed to be the team historian, but Howie Rose knows about 100 times more about the Mets history than I do.

When I changed jobs a few years ago and became the Alumni Director, no one gave me more encouragement and advice than Howie.

He told me what I was doing was important to keeping the organization's connection to it’s past. I have been fortunate to have been Howie’s friend for more than 40 years and there is not a more decent person on the face of the Earth than Howie.

Medical issues will force him this week to take a leave of absent from the mic until Spring Training. There is no doubt in my mind he will return in 2022, the 60th season for the Mets, as good as ever.

As Howie would say you can put it in the books.
